I remember that film ‘Mephisto Waltz.’ as a teenager. Very stylish, atmospheric....and scary.

Yes. That’s the film I most remember from him - by far. It’s from a novel by Fred Mustard Stewart. The movie definitely did cut the Mustard for me.
