For some people, hybrid wolf dogs are pets. For others, they're predators.
Gary Schukantz said he last saw his three small dogs in his backyard ...
"I didn't see any of my dogs, and I heard a yelp," .
Schukantz said a hybrid wolf-dog came out of the woods and took off with his beloved pets.
Shortly after the wolf ran off, Schukantz came across his youngest pet, a tiny Yorkshire terrier ..."We found his body and got him back," .
Schukantz would have tried going after his pets, he said, but the wolf-dog turned on him and backed him against his house.
"When I got to the deck here, I couldn't go anywhere," he said. "And I just yelled as loud as I could and kicked my legs. And it just turned and in a flash, it was gone over the edge of the hill."
An agent with the state Department of Fish and Wildlife tried to track the animal with the help of a search dog, but came up empty-handed.
The animal turned up the next morning down the street...

LOL! If they etched their pets name on the bell they could at least identify them later under adverse conditions.
He brings you things he's killed and wants you to throw them? :~)
I think she wants a pet (rabbit/squirrel/fox/deer/duck/goose) of her own. Fortunately she and the cat have reached an accommodation (they sometimes hunt together and the cat strenuously objects to the dog trying to pick her up).
“He brings you things he’s killed and wants you to throw them? :~)”
LOL. I’d venture to guess your statement is 100% accurate....
Say WA? Evergreen State ping

FReepmail sionnsar if you want on or off this ping list.
Ping sionnsar if you see a Washington state related thread.
A guy I worked with years ago was transferred to our plant in Shelbyville, KY and bought a house out in the country. He then acquired 2 Alaskan Huskies that ultimately killed a neighbor's cow.........
He offered no argument, he paid the neighbor for the loss of the cattle and had the dogs put down.........as he should have.
If dogs aren’t mans’ best friend, they don’t belong.
My dad (lifetime law enforcement) was always a German Shepherd owner and he always said that he would never keep a dog that would ever bite someone indiscriminately. And if it did, he would put it down immediately.
True to his word, the week prior to the last time our family was scheduled to head north to mom and dad's cottage in northern Michigan for Memorial Day weekend, he assigned me the task of taking Zarek to the Vet to be put down. Zarek was old and was suffering from hip displasia which is all too common in shepherds and dad didn't want to risk him biting one of the grandkids who would ultimately pat him on his hind quarters..........A tough decision to make but one what was necessary.
This made me think of Phudd bailing out of the truck to chase the jackrabbit.
Even Libtards can get carry permits.
Hi, how have you been?
To continue, you said:
“...they didnt feel the need to play God at that moment.”
Perhaps they might be said to be playing Top Predator, Big, Bad PartWolf, Dominant Demiwolf.
Somehow, being backed against one’s own house by a common cur doesn’t quite seem the least bit divine to me. Does it to you?
That is scary. I have begun keeping a gun with me at night. The coyotes seem to be losing their fear of people.
A friend’s daughter was talking on the phone in our driveway, about 100 yards from the house and turned around to find one looking at her. From then on she did her talking on the deck.
Good to be careful these days
I saw that one in the Ravensdale area a few years ago.
Which reminds me, how come you people in The Great Northwet don't have a professional football team?
Indeed!
I had a Lab/Wolf Hybrid, and he was not the best behaved dog ever, but he was the sweetest, most loving boy I could have ever asked for. I currently have his half brother, a shepard/wolf hybrid, he is also very affectionate and a good dog.
Did the dog have wolf ears or lab ears?
