Well, I hope they have the right guy.

And when he’s convicted, maybe a firing squad... of Louisville sluggers would be apropos.

Such a savage attack, I couldn’t even get myself to finish reading the whole story. I pray this monster gets what is coming to him, not just here on Earth, but in the pits of Hell.

In Virginia or Texas, a man convicted of this sort of crime would only serve about 5-10 years in prison.

Then they'd stick a needle in his arm and send him off to final judgment.

“DNA specialists initially questioned by prosecutors were recalled to the stand to discuss genetic evidence gathered at the scene that didn’t have a match.”

This is interesting - anyone know anymore about what was asked?

my guess is the defense jury-shopped real hard for 12 jurors who could not understand the concept of DNA evidence if Elmo and Big Bird explained it to them at 1/4 speed.

The dumbing-down of our schools has tragic, real life consequences.

It’s difficult to believe that such savagery could be random.

My heart still breaks for Anne’s poor mother having found her sweet and beautiful daughter and having that image forever burned into her memory. Yet, Anne was still alive and she got to be with her before she died. A loving parent would want that regardless of the circumstances.

God bless Anne’s parents to see justice served, and give them the strength and comfort that can come only from Him.

How awful for her family to have to learn all the explicit details of what she endured before she died. I don’t know how a parent ever gets past something like this.
