Blinded by the high beams, eh?
 :)
Ooohh. Fancy Words!
You sound like the person I’m looking for in post 35 to address Bon mots in post 28.
Think you can do better?
Lord knows I can’t.

If the Brits had a few good dentists they might have a better chance :0
LOL! Nah, I think Bon mots did a pretty good job.
I ain't no grammar police either, just havin' some fun.
I suppose we all have our preferences, and I hold nothing against Norwegian women (for the moment, at least). But to my trained eye, Ukrainian and Polish women are among the world’s most devastating.
RE: “Yes, Vermont specifically. I was there three weeks ago and was surprised that there were more homely women there than in San Antonio.”

Anyone ever notice how many horse-faced women seem to live in Connecticut??? A NYC friend brought it to my attention when I visited the area.

Of the five women I've dated in my life (yeah, I'm kind of choosey), FOUR were either of completely Polish decent (two) or at least partially Polish (the other two- one was Polish/Ukrainian). I concur.
Various kinds of ugliness has been known to come wrapped in “beautiful” packages. The evaluation of the outside of the package is affected by the contents.
And, there is something to that familiar phrase: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
keep your eye on the ball...
...just go ahead and try...
Go ahead and ask her. Bet you $100 she plays dumb when you reference me.
 No.
 The correct quote is:
Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.
My family comes from the border region between those two countries, so I will admit to some prejudice in the matter. My wife (of almost 20 years) is half Northern German and half Scottish and I can vouch that the combination is likewise a fine one.
Yep, that too. ; )
I've been in CT for twenty plus years. My first wife was pretty. My second wife is pretty but she's from upstate NY.
Most of the women in CT are very average. My nephew was visiting from IL a couple years ago and was taking him to tennis camp every day where I was teaching. He asked me one day, "Uncle, where are all the good looking girls?"
I was a little confused and I said, "There's some cute girls at the tennis camp."
He said, "Not really. The best looking girls aren't all that good looking compared to the girls back home in Il."
I thought about it and he's right. I guess I had just gotten used to the mediocrity of the women here in CT. There are a few pretty women here but mostly they have that long English face or they are Italian looking which, to me, is not that big a deal.
I grew up in a neighborhood of mostly Polish, Czech, and Croatian people in Chicago and compared to them CT's women are pretty homely. There are some exceptions but for the most part - not much to look at.
Sorry to you CT women out there.
BTW, I used to spend a lot of time in Chattanooga, Nashville, and Atlanta years ago. I would always return home wondering why there are a much higher percentage of really pretty women there than up here. I don't wonder anymore - it just is that way.
Also, try going to the northwest corner of MA to a town called North Adams. Not only do they have horse faces they also are built like horses.

Here's an exception for the British side.

I would not have noticed a thing myself had my friend not brought it to my attention, but I did see the ‘horse face’ thing when I looked carefully. I think it’s a CT blueblood thing, actually, as these women were well dressed, groomed, etc. It is New England after all.
A friend new to the Boston area commented that many people there have little tiny pinched Irish faces — well, that, too, would make sense.
I’m in LA and just finding a plain ordinary white person is difficult enough, so I am intrigued by areas that have regional ‘looks.’
