Sarah is not in my top 10 candidates to vote for. If I get purged for it, so be it.
If it helps, Mitt ain’t even in the top 100.
Sarah didn't resign the governorhship to run for another office, which until Democrats decided they wanted their cake and to eat it, too ala Lieberman in 2000, was the status quo. She resigned after the election.
I’ve been down the road a few times on thinking I’ve found the perfect politician, only to be disappointed. So I’ll pose a question: When “political reality” meets “conservative ideals”, what disappointments would you be willing to accept from a President Sarah Palin?
My real point is that sometimes “good enough” is all you get. Reagan had to deal with a Democrat congress for his first 6 years, and had to compromise, although he did drive the discussion. Sometimes leadership means expecting people to follow....
hh
she said she resigned for a “higher calling”
While you're purging the party of people who make "anti-Palin" comments or aren't conservative enough, ask her if she is for a path to citizenship.
That will just turn conservatives off. Not because of who you want representing us, but by the employment of tactics used by the liberals.
For Sarah to be the nominee, and for her to lead this party in the direction it has lost, she needs to speak up as she has, for true conservative voices and candidates, win, lose or draw.
By doing so, she has chased one GOP backed candidate out and made others seriously look at the values that have been ignored since Bush 41 took office.
Her simple recognition of a conservative candidate, regardless of the party choice, woke a number of conservatives to also jump on that bandwagon, and scared the crap out of the GOP elites, who have no idea which direction to turn.
The people, the true conservatives, who make up a huge part of the GOP are going to see that as the leadership that is so sorely lacking, and flock to that cause.
Whether Sarah is the nominee or not, is not the issue. The issue is getting back to the social and fiscal conservative roots that make this nation prosper.
That should begin now, for 2010, and not until that is accomplished should we consider who leads in 2012. That issue will resolve itself.
Thankfully, you are not in charge of the criteria for who can, can’t be a member of the Republican Party.
Every contingent thinks they are in control when in reality they aren’t more than a keyboard jock at best.
I really like Palin....but the current GOP elites will not allow her to be the nominee. The GOP needs a big shakeup to rid itself of the current “think they should be the nominee” guys. Also, the primaries will work the same way as last time unless something changes. That means that the democrats will choose our candidate. The GOP will actually work with the press to find ways to diss Sarah.
remember Huckleberry has been making some jabs at her lately, so have others. With some people it is working.
There where having a strong personality and a star in front of it COVERS UP the tactic.
most Conservatives won’t reject Sarah, most RINOs would.
If we use these tactics against Palin’s enemies. The RINO’s are the ones pushed off the stage.
That is why we have to destroy them, indylindy.
She also said she resigned for the benefit of Alaska. In other words, the liberal attack law suits forced her to leave rather than spend the money to fight them, which only serves to encourage similar attacks in the future. I agree with her on the vast majority of issues and would probably support her in the primaries, but like the poster who initially brought up her resigning, there’s something about her resignation that just doesn’t sit right with me.
She was a half million in debt. Research the tactics they were using against her. it wasn’t going to stop.
BTTT
So what stops them from doing the same thing to her as President, or as a candidate? Or, for that matter, to anyone else they decide to coordinate their attacks against? 0 has spent $1.7 million to keep from showing a $10 birth certificate. He hasn’t resigned.
it would be a different situation as President. not isolated. and people have her back.
It was a situation where they were filing ethics charges because she was giving media interviews at the governors office. No one is going to say a President can’t have a Press Corp. please.
Sarah didn’t have 1.7 million to spend unless she got out of there.
So true! LOL!

Vying for a leadership post in the concervative brown shirt corps?
Is it possible to admire the woman without turning her into a Messianic figure? You folks remind me of the Obamatrons.
