Courtesy of NME.com - Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has said that singer Steven Tyler has quit the band "as far as I can tell." Perry's comments follow those of rhythm guitarist Brad Whitford, who last week (November 6) said that Aerosmith are to hold crisis talks about their future after relations with Tyler became strained.

I happen to see them in thier second show for the “Permanent Vacation” tour. One of the best show I’ve ever seen.

Good list. The problem is, my “classic rock” station in Dallas only plays Walk This Way, so most kids my age dont know how many good songs Aerosmith really had.

Apparently, Tyler is back to his bad old ways as evidenced by his header off the stage in Sturgis, SD. Given his health, Tyler may well kill himself in short order so, either way, they were going to have to do without him anyway. Here’s hoping Tyler can get his act back together. Somehow though, I really doubt he can.

They were a better band when they were strung out.

Sigh... I hate to say it but that statement is true of so many bands.

Must be Clear Channel owned. That seems to be the formula for their classic rock stations. About fifty acts with two songs each get put in constant rotation.

Here's one of my favorite, recent Aerosmith tunes: What Kind of Love Are You On?
