Courtesy of NME.com - Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has said that singer Steven Tyler has quit the band "as far as I can tell." Perry's comments follow those of rhythm guitarist Brad Whitford, who last week (November 6) said that Aerosmith are to hold crisis talks about their future after relations with Tyler became strained.

Now Perry has confirmed that Tyler is unlikely to perform with the band again.

“Brand Tyler” is Aerosmith. He’s never done anything else.

Good luck with that obscurity Stevo.

I met Tyler’s then-wife Terry many years ago, when she was a customer at my dad’s fabric shop south of Boston. A real nice lady, what she saw in that drugged-out POS I could never figure out.

Then again, I and millions of other guys now in their late 40s and early 50s said the same thing about Valerie Bertinelli and Eddie Van Halen!

Nothing more disgusting than rockers in their 60’s. At least Grace Slick figured that out early. lol

Sweet Lemons to me ... as when Aero was touring with ZZ Top over the summer I really wanted to see ZZ badly, but was hampered by them being on the bill with Aerosmith, which would have been difficult (and expensive) tix to secure for good seats (which I *insist* on)...

As it turned out, Tyler's onstage mishap resulted in ZZ Top playing a smaller venue (Beacon Theater, NYC) instead of the Big ol' Barn (MSG), and I got great seats for the ZZ show ... in, get this, Row ZZ :)

Ahh the memories, my first concert was Toys in the Attic in 1976. Man was that a good show, at least what I can remember of it.

She must be the apple of his eye too, dumping the man who raised her to take the name of the guy who boinked her mom then took off.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liv_Tyler

First two sentences:

“Liv Rundgren Tyler[1] (born July 1, 1977) is an American actress and model. She is the daughter of Aerosmith’s lead singer, Steven Tyler, and Bebe Buell, model and singer.”
