You know you've made it when you're in the dictionary. But you know you've made it in a humorous way when you appear in the Urban Dictionary.
UrbanDictionary.com, which tracks pop culture terms, has added one more: Scozzafavaed. Referring to Dede Scozzafava, the moderate Republican assemblywoman who pulled out of New York's District 23 race and threw her support behind the Democrat.
To be "Scozzafavaed", as defined by UrbanDictionary.com, is to be "Purged of moderation, e.g., within in a Congressional district." It can also mean "Inadvertently revealed internal chaos, e.g., within in a political Party."
As an adjective: "Doomed due to popular support of the GOP electorate." Quoted from StealthFusion

Gee, does that mean that Joe Lieberman was Scozzafaved in the Dem primary, when he lost due to his “moderation?”
The word is BORKED
Saw it coming a mile away. Steele didn’t handle it right and we got punked.
The Dems then started their paying for ads on the independent. Screwed from the beginning was the conservative Pubbie.
So is Teddymandering there?
Supporting the right to keep one's vote private is considered a radical position. Supporting the right for union thugs to know how each and every person voted (ie, card-check) is considered a moderate position. Well, I'm glad they cleared that up. Centuries old fundament rights of free people living in a democratic society, like the right to private ballots, are far too radical.
That word is just too tough to say much less write.
I say the “Rockefeller” Republicans should now be bestowed with the title “Dede” Republicans.
That is the Rockefeller/Romney Republicans.
Is Nifongism there?
How bout Bidening? It was BIDEN who was the first to lie about Clarence Thomas at the Senate Confirmation Hearings (he lied in is opening remarks).
How about naming BORKING after Ted Kennedy?
Why do we call it Jason Blair Syndrome when a reporter makes up facts and not Rathering?
Scozzafavaed: Being open to corruption due to lack of core values...
did you see Jason Blair’s interview on Fox News Sunday today? I’ve got to say he says all the right things...
Same guy?

Times Reporter Who Resigned Leaves Long Trail of Deception
Published: Sunday, May 11, 2003
A staff reporter for The New York Times committed frequent acts of journalistic fraud while covering significant news events in recent months, an investigation by Times journalists has found. The widespread fabrication and plagiarism represent a profound betrayal of trust and a low point in the 152-year history of the newspaper.
Saturday Night the nation got Pelosied.
In 2003 she wailed about how bills were being rushed to vote and that there was no time given to read a 1,000 page bill that might have details slipped in at the last minute.
She was okay with it Saturday now that the Rats are in charge. Most ethical congress in history overtakes a culture of corruption? Or is Pelosi just a lying witch.
You figure out what Pelosied means. I just make up the names.
Scozzafaza was NEVER A MODERATE.
She was and is still a FAR LEFT radical.
Who are the idiots in charge of the local Republican Club and why have they not been fired.
yes. It was a huge story back then.
Means the same thing as “Quisling”.
The whole “Urban Dictionary” is a garbage site, since it spits out whatever its mostly airhead leftist posters submit to it. To call it a “dictionary” debases the term. I would hope that this is the last we hear from the “Urban Dictionary” on FR.
Interesting. I find the Urban Dictionary useful sometimes, usually for some variant of the usual four letter words, or for something I hadn’t seen before, like teeth grillz.
Just as I find Wickipedia often useful.
Wiki is OK until politics enters in. And then certainly it can’t be relied on. Evidently Urban Dictionary can’t either, which I hadn’t noticed.
I understand “Scozafava” means the same thing as Quisling.
