SEOUL, South Korea – A woman in South Korea who tried to pass the written exam for a driver's license with near-daily attempts since April 2005 has finally succeeded on her 950th time. The aspiring driver spent more than 5 million won ($4,200) in application fees, but until now had failed to score the minimum 60 out of a possible 100 points needed to get behind the wheel for a driving test.
Cha Sa-soon, 68, finally passed the written exam with a score of 60 on Wednesday, said Choi Young-chul, a police official at the drivers' license agency in Jeonju, 130 miles (210 kilometers) south of Seoul.

Like they say, the 950th time is the charm.
After $4500 in test fees, it seems like someone could give her some personal coaching to improve her score.
That was my reaction, too. Nice to know not all the borderline dull/normals of the planet have emigrated here, yet. Tenacity isn’t always a virtue.
I don’t suppose she has a cousin that is yellow, porous, and works as a fry cook by chance?
I think this is progress in shattering the common stereotype that Asian/women are bad drivers.
I do not know if they still so it, but if you failed you had to wait 6 months before trying again to give you time to study. At her rate it would have taken her 474.5 years.

did she make a daily pilgrimage (sat and sundays off) to the motor vehicle division?
Did she wake up every day and say, “today i’m going to take my driving test”?
That should be fun.
