My heart says Philadelphia in 7. My brain says New York in 6. Either way, this is a fun World Series.

I remember when World Series games were played during the day. They would announce the scores over the PA system at my elementary school.

I think it would work in the year 2000s. It is an unconventional and unlikely move. But it works for March Madness. It works for the Olympics.

We have TV problems positioning these start times in prime time due to the time zones.

I say throw the first pitch at 3:15 Eastern Time. if only I called the shots. lol

I will be honest. Joe Buck sort of ruins the World Series for me. I am used to the great broadcasters like Mel Allen, Red Barber, Vin Skully, Phil Rizzuto, etc.

Joe Buck has no personality and can’t tell a decent story like the great ones could. Why was he selected to announce these games?

Even Ronald Reagan at WHO radio was a better announcer than Joe Buck.

Joe Buck and Tim Mccarver suck. They don't even hide their hate for the Yankees.

WIN WIN ANDREW EUGENE PETTITTE!

Bob Costas is a GREAT World Series announcer.

Sean McDonough was pretty good on CBS in the 90s. (Phillies fans remember “Down the left field line ! way back ! gone !”)

Joe Buck has ruined TV baseball period.

He blathers the obvious, offers no insight (other than prescripted “drama”).

And his drone is such a drag.

Much rather listen to John Sterling (he’s on WCBS 880 AM in the NYC area)

and it lasted 2 1/2 hours per game and didn’t end at 1am the next day.

Has anyone else noticed the strike zone expands when the Yanks are pitching? Or does it always expand for the World Series?

Are you on a crack pipe ?

Joe and Tim have been undercover Yankee cheerleaders since 1996.

Pedro pitches out of his mind enraging Yankee fans. Petit wears down early as Ryan Howard remembers he is a baseball star and matches Utley’s pair of homers from last night. Lidge redeems himself with a white knuckle save, setting up a a game 7 between the increasingly nervous and tightly wound Yanks and headcase Cole Hamels. At least thats the way I dreamed it last night.

I don’t even know where the strike zone is anymore. And baseball is my favorite sport.

That is is how pathetic the umpiring is.

Because his Dad was a great announcer. What makes it even more infuriating is that “humble” Joe Jr constantly acknowledges the fact that his easy life was handed to him on a platter.

Lidge redeems himself with a white knuckle save,

I think the Phillies bullpen is on retainer from the pharma industry to increase sales of hypertension drugs in the Philly metro area.

All the games have been ridiculously close with literally dozens of plays that were inches if not millimeters from flipping the score. I have to admit I find baseball the most nerve-wracking sport and I’m a casual Phils fan who only starts paying attention half way through the season. I can’t imagine what it’s like for people who have careers riding on this stuff.
