Gone are the Manly man characters played Marc Singer and Micheal Ironside, to be replaced by < insert drumroll > Yep you guessed it - A hard working single mom
And of course all the white males are feminized wimps who have issues.
C'mon, who would you want to save earth, The Beastmaster or Murphy Brown?
The empowered fighting female cliché has all but ruined Sci-Fi, no doubt it will with the new V.
Sounds good, I’ll DVR it.
I don’t know who the female alien person on the commercials is, but great googly moogly she’s easy on the eyes.
“I watched the re-run of the original series for 12 hours this past weekend. The similarities between the current coup and the 1980s alien take over were unbelievable. I wonder what is underneath Obamas ear flaps?”
Me too. The production values were poor. The human collaborators were good. Obamabots!
The choice of a woman (Sarah Palin) as rebel leader was good. I liked the scene where she was transformed in her leotard. Kinky.
Jester was good. Who knew he did anything before Top Gun.
The lizard brunette was hot, but the leader, not so much.
Let’s be serious. If Michelle donned human skin to cover up her lizardness, why would she choose a wookie?
Her real name is Morena Baccarin from Brazil. She could be considered the Queen of Sci-Fi as she has been in Serenity/Firefly, Stargate SG-1 and now V. Definately easy on the eyes. ;)
She was the villain in the last season of Stargate SG-1. Leading the Ori.
“but great googly moogly shes easy on the eyes.”
Yes, yes she is.
Maybe she couldn’t fit into anything more attractive?
There should be a requirement that a picture be posted of her on any thread related to the show. I’d do it, but don’t know how to post pictures.
Yes, important things like berating people about their TV watching habits on a web forum. Truly, you are a Renaissance man.
Nice...
Thanks!
No matter what network the story says he’s from, the guy interviewing the hot alien chick is should be considered as being a reporter from a real network. But which one?
Since he says he can’t fail to ask proper questions, he would seem to be from Fox News. Reporters from other networks would presumably have responded, “Yes ma’am. Can I suck on your toes for a couple of minutes before the interview?”
But then, I thought that maybe he was a reporter from a liberal network. You see, maybe he mistook the Visitors for conservatives because they support the space program and know how to run a health care system.
I’m sure it will be on Hulu within a day or two of airing.
Going to be there with bells on myself!
I’m looking forward to V as possibly the most perfect metaphor for the rise of Obama to ever hit the small screen. However, I won’t be surprised if it turns out that they’ve managed to fill this show with leftist pap like all the others.
Like post comments on an internet thread about a sci-fi show? We are all honored that you chose to spend a bit of your precious time with us.
how many threads do we need for this viral ad campaign?
is someone being paid to post this stuff?
every time a series is potentially stinkworthy, the suits invoke some kind of conservative theme.
I enjoyed the original as a kid, I hope the new version keeps the anti-statist/pro individual liberty message. I also hope they don’t pc the new red dawn either.
