The best part about Smallville is that several times an episode two characters will look at each other for what seems to be minutes at the end of a scene. The camera cuts back and forth as each character goes through at least 3 emotions. Clark looks worried, cut to Chloe who is sad and worried, cut to confused looking Clark, cut back to Chloe who is now resolute, back to Clark who mirrors the resolute look then looks confused before going back to looking worried.

I watched Smallville for a couple of years and enjoyed it, but it finally just ran out of stuff to do.
