Chris Christie leads Jon Corzine 47-41 in PPP's final poll of the New JerseyGovernor's race, with Chris Daggett at 11%.
Corzine had pulled to within a point of Christie on our poll three weeks ago after trailing by as many as 14 points over the summer, but his momentum has stalled since then and Christie's built his lead back up to 4 points last week and now 6.
Christie's advantage is due largely to his support from independents and because he has Republicans more unified around him than the Democrats are around Corzine. Christie leads Corzine 52-29 with indies, as Daggett's support with that group has declined to 16%. Christie is getting 82% of Republicans to Corzine's 72% of Democrats.

Thanks to Beck, Breibart etc, ACORN may not get the edge they otherwise would’ve gotten. This can be won with a 5-6 point lead!
I won’t feel at ease until the whole shooting match is over with Christie @ 15 pts ahead ... okay 10 pts ahead. Ever since the Dems were unsuccessful in stealing the 2000 presidential, they have stolen every close one since.
Great sign if a blue state like New Jersey boots out a dem governor.Gives me hope that we here in Massachusetts can boot out OUR idiot governor (Deval Patrick) NEXT November!
Can you say “Senator Franken”. Disgraceful.
Is this outside the MOF (Margin of Fraud)?
If he does indeed win, I’m bring Christie Creme Doughnuts to the office Wednesday.
Trifecta tomorrow plus CA-10. Let’s see, that would make it a Superfecta.
He better be 6 ahead if he wants to win. The Dems can probably come up with at least that many phony votes.
