SCOZZAFAVA THROWS SUPPORT TO OWENS
Watertown Daily News ^ | 11/1/09 | Un Attributed

It is in this spirit that I am writing to let you know I am supporting Bill Owens for Congress and urge you to do the same.

It’s not in the cards for me to be your representative, but I strongly believe Bill is the only candidate who can build upon John McHugh's lasting legacy in the U.S. Congress. John and I worked together on the expansion of Fort Drum and I know how important that base is to the economy of this region. I am confident that Bill will be able to provide the leadership and continuity of support to Drum Country just as John did during his tenure in Congress.

She will have to switch parties if she has any further political aspirations.

He should apologize to everyone he called unloyal to the party.

Absolutely. He's got to get out in front of this and explain how and why he did it. If he doesn't, he's done in the Party for a long time.

I expect Newt to keep a low profile for the next week and then continue on as if nothing happened.

Maybe make another commercial with Nancey.

Its not the first time one of the GOP’s own has pulled this kind of crap.

In my district A former democrat won as a republican in 04, was defeated by a conservative in the primary for 06 so he ran a last minute write in campaign to strip votes from the republican nominee. Fortunately the conservative defeated the democrat anyway.

In 08 the RINO my congressman defeated in 06 endorsed the democrat. The NRCC called the race a lost cause and stripped the conservative of money, leaving him to lose by 2%.

My conservative former congressman has decided to run again but this time he faces a challenge for the GOP nomination from the democrat he defeated in 06.

Newt has done us the favor of clearly showing himself to be completely and utterly irrelevant.

At the very least, this whole NY-23 cavalcade of Bob Michael-esque GOP mediocrity should remove any remaining doubts about Newt Gingrich, who right up to this moment has backhanded the people who saw through this comedy of errors. I don't expect everyone to stop saying how "He's so intelligent! And such a great idea man!"

I do, however, hope to hear it less often... a LOT less often.

I wouldn’t have had a problem if they had run a primary and proved that she was actually the legitimate candidate of the local district.

But they didn’t, she was hand picked by the local party chief.

They should be fired over process and not running the party in a legit fashion. They were trying to deprive the conservatives of a voice from day one.

That is why they should be fired, not because this lady is a turn coat. That can happen, people can fool other people.

The point is, they purposely bypassed the process to put in the candidate they wanted. Hand picked her, and told conservatives that they couldn’t win in that district.

Up yours creepy “lady.”

We sure dodged a bullet with this RINO. Time for a purge of the party. Bye bye Gingrich and Steele and the rest of your ilk.

Not necessarily. Most endorsements don’t mean much and this one probably won’t either. Still she’s an idiot traitor and those who chose her are the ones with egg all over their faces. They need to be held accountable.

I don’t think this is going to have the effect they hoped for.

All this endorsement does is prove that Doug Hoffman was right about Dede. She’s no different from the Democrat and she has now made that plain for all to see by endorsing the Democrat.

This may have the exact opposite effect to what the Dems are looking for.

If any RNC money was spent or still exists in her war chest (warning, don't visualize) it should be returned, forthwith.

I just wonder who her supporters will side with. What kind of people voted for DeDe anyway? Were they Republican?

Yes, but if she’s in bed with RATs, and it appears she is, she has no integrity to begin with so good luck with that one.

Time to send the GOP a message:

What kind of message do you send the GOP leadership who spends close to a million dollars only to have that candidate endorse a democrat.

The only message that will work for me is to clean out the GOP leadership. Period.
