No one saw the truck drive off, it left the alley between the bank and another business. You could pick up the cash and no one would see you. What should you do?
I can tell the story openly now ,, my uncle , a NYC detective , has been dead for almost 2 years now and I don’t know or owe anything to his buddies. He robbed armored cars weekly ... as did many of the detectives and other officers in his precinct... In NYC you have legit armored car companies and you have some that are mob owned ... the mob owned armored car companies get “robbed” by the mob every now and then and your money disappears ... the legit armored car companies also get robbed ,, but for them it’s a real robbery by the mob (and the mob left the cars alone that had off duty police on board)... here’s the payoff to the story ... the cops moonlight as guards for the armored car companies ... it’s boring in the back of the armored cars ... the cops all took up knitting to pass the time... in actuality they would poke the knitting needles into a money bag and twirl up the cash like spaghetti... whoever had armored car duty bought the donuts the next day... This went on for at least 20 years. The armored car companies had to know but the take was a smaller hit than if they had to absorb a higher number of real robberies by the mob.
There are no poor cops in NYC.
Pick it up, call the cops, and wait. I don’t need the bad karma of taking the money.
Make sure no one saw me and hope for the best.
Head south : )
Really, not sure.
I would hope I had some larceny in me bujut am not sure.
duh... but am not sure
Really, I think I would turn it in. Something that easy has strings attachd.
lol
More than a dollar??? That’s a bit silly. Can you imagine walking into a police station with $2 and everyone -you included- having to document the finding of that sum of money? Finding a wallet is one thing but a few bucks on the street they want you to turn it in?
Well, I took the money that someone left in the Walmart self-check paper money change bin (around $18). I didn’t see whose it was or I would have called out to them. I figure it made up for the money that Wendy’s got when we didn’t get our change and drove home before realizing we were out $13.
Reminded me of the Seinfeld episode with the subplot of everything always working out “even” for Jerry.
That is a LOL reply....
Thats why your a conservative and not a liberal. :O)
First read “This Is No Country For Old Men.”
Then get back to me.

I would keep it all. What an admission!
Your integrity and $1.27 will get you a 16oz. coffee at our local 7-11.Essentially you have no integrity, right?
“I don’t need money that bad...”
How about a loan then. lol
Pastor Larry at your service....
No, silly, you drive alongside the truck on a scooter. Wear a mask so you don’t inhale exhaust! Then you wave a sign that says “Hold up” as in “Hold up, I have something important to tell you!”
I would call the authorities while I stood guard over the money. It is not mine and I would not take it. It would be stealing from others. I am NOT the government.
What? You can’t read either??
