Rep. King is a little late. What does he do now, I wonder.
It is the other way around now. A vote for Scozz is a vote for the Democrat.
A little late. She has all but withdrawn from the race.
King is a RINO himself, although he leans to the right on some key issues, such as defense, so it’s not surprising.
This has nothing to do with the NY-23 race. If you would rather a middle of the road RINo instead of a Democrat in NY-3, King had to be visually opposed to the rabid right wing (especially Palin) to maintain his standing in the district he represents.
You, even if you don’t know it, want King to be reelected over any of the Long Island machine Democrats that would beat him if King was framed as attached to the hip to Palin or Hoffman.
He needs to explain the difference between Scarsawhathername and the Dem. A vote for either would have been a vote for the same.
GO HOFFMAN!
We’ll put a boot up your @$$. It’s the American way!
Regretably, too many Americans regard political parties like their favorite sports teams and are always rootin’ for the home team (democrats and republicans alike). Most adults have been too busy earning a living to pay attention to what our elected representatives were doing. We trusted that they were like-minded and sought after the best interests of their constituents and the Nation. But, many of them are calculating shysters, no better than a common street hustler. They say that there is an awakening occuring. We can only pray, that it’s not too late!
Note the only real "conservative" Congressman King, STEVE King of Iowa, proudly endorsed Hoffman while Peter King was touting Scuzzyliberal and trashing Hoffman supporters.
Whether the Clinton impeachment, the 2008 presidential campaign, the veep selection (King urged McCain to pick Lieberman, but since Peter King's name isn't "Lindsey Graham" conservatives gave him a pass) the Scozzafava nomination, Pelosi's minimum wage scam, Cash for Clunkers, CAFE standards, "assault" weapons ban, SCHIP, big government pork for New York, this guy can always be "counted on" to not only side with the RINOs but try to bully conservatives into following them or else.
Peter King, darling of the NY media, best friend of the Clintons, and such a RINO that Obama wanted to reward him the post of Ambassador to Ireland as a "personal favor". What more needs to be said?
There's also the myth that Peter King is the "best we can do in NY" despite the fact that he represents a district drawn to elect Republicans (bring this fact up, and they'll go into some nonscene about how we gotta keep Peter around as long as possible cuz the Dems MIGHT draw the district out of existence three years from now. Whatever.)
Peter King is far more liberal than John McCain has ever been, yet many freepers still support this pro-Clinton, terrorist appeasing RINO scum. We've been trying to throw his RINO butt out of office since '98 but the challengers can never raise enough funds because "conservatives" fawn over Peter King every time he comes on TV and gives some token speech about being pro-life and anti-illegal alien (nevermind the fact he's diehard liberal on scores of other issues important to conservatives)
Peter King, Teflon RINO.
Can someone PLEASE remove this cancer from the GOP? It was diagnosed as fatal a decade ago.
His district may be drawn out of existance in 2012. If that’s the case, all his opponents have to do is wait.
I’m a bit perplexed! Would you please say, what’s on your mind!
The strategy of accepting these guys because there as good as were going to get has failed. The country is in peril because of it. I only support people who people who believe in the Constitution and Freedom. King doesn’t live up to my litmus test.
King was one of the five RINOs who voted against impeaching Bill Clinton. And he was by far the most active, going on all the news networks and talk shows to defend clinton.
Clinton gave King’s wife Rosemary a job at our embassy in Ireland as a reward, if I recall correctly.
Obama offered to make King ambassador to Ireland, but he turned it down.
Peter King was one of six Republicans to break ranks with a Republican attempt to have Charles Rangel removed as Chairman of the House Ways and Means committee.
What a gem!
so what do the dems have on King? must be something
You have 2 choices, Peter King, or a Long Island Democrat that is further to the left than Anthony Wiener. Heck the left right dichotomy doesn’t work, it’s either King or a union backed self-declared socialist.
Long Island (NY-3) will never again be a Republican district. Ever. Not even after the Second Civil War, the state of New York declaring bankruptcy, or an Iranian nuclear attack on NYC. King is the rear guard action, do not throw him to the wolves until King has breathed his last breath of resistance.
No, NY-3 is not drawn for Republicans. The outflow of Republican voters from that district to NJ and the sunbelt has been ongoing for over 20 years. The inflow of Democrat voters has been ongoing for 40 years. From local to state level the area has permanently turned to a Democrat party bastion.
Sorry Jersey, NY's 3rd is drawn with a clear GOP majority and is about as Republican as you can get in heavily Democrat New York State. Obamessiah couldn't even win NY's 3rd, and bear in mind Obama won "conservative" areas no Dem Presidential candidate has carried in decades like North Carolina and Virginia.
New York's 3rd congressional district
Current Representative Peter T. King (R)
Population (2000) 654,360
Cook PVI R+4
2004 President Bush 52% - Kerry 47%
2008 President McCain 52% - Obama 47%
Clintonite RINO Peter King has no business representing a GOP district like that. He should have been purged back in '98. We have primaries for the purpose of electing real Republicans and not RINOs, especially in safe GOP districts. And the possibility that HE might be redistricted of existence in Jan. 2013 is no excuse for keeping his treasonous liberal butt in that seat any longer. He's already had a decade longer than he should have had to inflict damage on the GOP nationally. He's certainly much worse than John McCain who freepers say should be purged immediately because McCain also represents a marginally Republican area. Remember how much damage Bill Clinton was able to do in "only" two more years as President from 1998-2000.
I remember hearing back in 2000 that we wouldn't have to worry about Blago after 2002 because he'd be "redistricted out of existence". Turns out they saved his district after all, and then we ended with six years of Governor Blago PLUS Rahm Emanuel chosen as his "heir apparent" for that seat.
Any principled conservative should make it a top priority to remove RINO Peter King in 2010. But hey, don't say I didn't warn you. We all know what happened when Maine conservatives didn't lift a finger against the "electable" RINOs there. Hope all the Maine conservatives don't mind porkulus and Obamacare, after all they voted for it.
There’s lots of choices. Limited only by your imagination.
Reminds me of the myth Ray LaThug used to always put out about how his Peoria district was a "swing area" and that only someone who "has a good working relationship with Democrats" (a.k.a. a RINO like himself) could win it. Then the RINO ran off to be Obama's yes-man for Transporation and a 23 year old conservative state rep. won LaThug's "swing" district by nearly 70% of the vote without breaking a sweat. Funny how no Democrat has been elected Congressman in LaThug's "swing" district in over 80 years.
So lemme get this straight according to the Peter King fan club... RINOs are unacceptable in the 23rd, but just find and dandy in the much more Republican 3rd district?
