The National Republican Congressional Committee will now be throwing its support to Hoffman, after endorsing Scozzafava and deriding the Conservative Party candidate in statements throughout much of the race.

Let it be remembered that Palin was leading this parade, not some last-minute "me-too" who just figured out what direction the wind was blowing. Now that it is safe to endorse Hoffman, I expect to hear of Mitt's endorsement any minute now.
“Michael Steele: ‘We want to be supporting the one that wins.’”
Well, why didn’t they support Obama last year?
You should be supporting the one you agree with. That’s the whole point.
I give Steele a pass on this one. As the chairman of the national Republican Party he doesn't really have a choice but to endorse the party's candidate. Realistically, Steele didn't even have the option of staying silent. In his defense, Steele's endorsement of Dede came across as tepid. The ones that you should focus your anger at are the NY State Republican power brokers who put Dede up as the party's candidate. When the whole story comes out, I suspect that the national Republican Party will be shown to have play a major role in forcing her withdrawal, although the motivation was probably more strategic than ideological.
I am also very disappointed (once again) with Newt. He had no obligation to support Dede. Even now with the more-congenial Newt, Hoffman's views are far closer to Newt's than Dede's views are. Newt has NO excuse for supporting her.
They will stay in the Republican party.
RINOS are opportunists. They are looking out for themselves and will pretend to be conservative if that is what is required at the moment inorder to advance their careers.
Sincerity is everything. If you can fake that, youve got it made.
Of course they want to support the winner. We need to take back the House to stop the Obammunists before it’s too late. We need to keep our eye on that goal while we’re throwing out the trash.
Those who control your party just got done expending more than a half million dollars promoting a radical Leftist and trying to bring down a conservative.
And that word “control” is in the present tense. Nothing has changed in that regard just because Scozzafava has been driven from the battlefield.
He and the GOP establishment will prolly not do that. They can do something much more useful for Owens.
This cautionary alert was from Tuesday: Fair Warning to NY23
I find it hard to imagine many could still doubt how perfidious the GOP central control can be. They would let the Dems get away with fraud simply so they can point to this election and claim that conservatives CANNOT WIN.
THEREFORE: Encourage as many independent conservatives in NY-23 as possible to stay alert. Some may decide to provide some insurance by discretely video tracking those going into polling places so as to document multiply voting rats in order to protect the integrity of their votes.
Have all involved take precautions because the opposition is watching FR for counter measures like this. What's going to drive them bonkers are our camera equipped drones. They won't be able to counter those.
Nonpartisan ACORN’s Working Families Party is under scrutiny again.

For years I’ve been urging conservatives to have their cameras at the polls. In the counting rooms, too. You may not be able to catch everything, but somehow that little red light being on tends to make people behave.
You’re right EV. Your warning needs to be on all these NY-23 threads.
