The family of Chris Privett wept in court Monday. So did the family of his killer, Gerald Davison.
But the 17-year-old simply smirked in court and offered a halfhearted apology for shooting the Palo Verde High School student in February 2008.
"I dont know how to apologize for for taking your son's life away," he said, shrugging his shoulders. "Sorry ain't going to cut it but that's all i can tell y'all. Sorry."

Stupid question here but why is this not a hate crime? Oh, I think I know the answer already.
Barring parole, 28 years is a long time to wait.
I think people like that should become test subjects for weapons testing.

When the state refuses to exact the full price it’s up to the individual to obtain satisfaction and justice. That’s not at all “hard on the soul”. Rather, it is a fully justified act of rebellion against a evil government.
I do not share your optimism, but approve of the message.
A lot of people think that a bad person who goes to prison will be served justice by his prison mates. Sadly, that is not necessarily the case. The fellow prisoners do not always have a sense of honor (surprise!)
Molesters are a good example. Folks think that they are murdered left and right when incercerated, and it just does not happen, sadly.

we need to bring back hanging as another method of punishment. for these ‘special’ thugs.
Providing you’re stupid enough to trust the guys in prison to keep quiet. Remember the guy that hired a prisoner to kill the thug who murdered his parents? His hiree filled a light bulb in the perps cell with gasoline killing the thug. Problem was that after he got caught he sang like a bird, and now mom and dad are still dead, but jr is serving life in prison for conspiracy to commit murder. Does that honestly sound like a good deal to you?

It makes you wonder if integration was a smart move. From the looks of things blacks prefer to live with blacks, and everyone else wishes to avoid them. So where do we go from here?
Right. That whole notion that molesters and rapists are maltreated in prison is pretty much a myth. The wind up talking shop with other molesters and rapists, and there have been numerous cases where they teamed up after being released.
There’s certainly risk. On the other hand people get murdered in prisons everywhere all the time ~ ain’t no thang.
This isn’t Stormfront. FReepers as a whole are not prone to racism. We’ll take the good in any race and shun the worst of any race. Pigmentation is irrelevant.
If I were the victim’s dad in this case, I’d do whatever I had to do to end the life of the person who murdered my son. I’d also turn myself in afterward and let a jury decide my fate.
