About a dozen people spent nearly three hours picking up litter Sunday along a 2-mile stretch of highway. All legally carried guns on their hips. It was the inaugural trash cleanup event for the group that calls itself the Minnesota Carry Permit Holders.....

When I was w/ Arkansas NORML, we had our mile in central Arkansas, but it was way out in the middle of nowhere....about 1/2 way between Little Rock & Conway. Oh well, it was a surprise that they gave it to us in the 1st place, considering that the state had to put “NORML” on their highway signs. We loved it though! It was really cool having drivers honk @ us or give us the thumbs up as they drove by.

It’s not that obvious that they’re carrying. I wonder what percentage of passing drivers knew.

I don't want the two legged trash to know I am packing.
The good people don't worry. The bad guys don't need to know.

Yeah, but this is not a normal personal security occasion for carry. I assume that since they’re doing in public, while engaged in a harmless and public minded activity, that the idea is to educate the public and generate positive publicity. They can’t do that unless you know who they are.

Minn. group picks up road trash while packing heat Reminds me of a picnic a couple dozen of us had at Lake Harriet a year ago all toting legally at the gazebo while eating burgers and drinking soda.
It was fun, however the looks cast because of the open carry were interesting. ; )
