At Mozilla, we regularly get anguished emails from people who have paid to download Firefox, and have then discovered a) that it's actually free, and b) that it's very hard to get the company they paid to stop charging their credit card. For those who have never had the misfortune to visit one of these trap sites, I thought people might be interested in a walkthrough of the user experience.

Odd how criminals tend to be democrat...
My understanding is that is hard to get, each CC account has its own credit history. I have had bogus charges but never repeating and asked about the options. But admit I am not an expert.

Yes, I use that all the time with on-line orders now.
But back when I had the problem with the ISP, I was using my Amex card. Happily, I just refused the charges, and let Amex handle it. The problem went away very quickly, and I didn’t get hit for the additional charges.
