(I wonder how many people will opine on THIS one?-haha)

best defrag...O&O (http://www.oo-software.com/home/en/products/oodefrag/), NOT free. NOT cheap.

I will try out auslogics, though.

BTW, I tested Defraggler (http://www.piriform.com/defraggler/download) on 5 different systems w/different setups and 4 different OS’s. In each case, it reported MORE fragmentation after defragging, than when it began.

A really neat set of utilities that is FREE is from KarenWare (http:/www.karenware.com) her “Power Tools” have been in my toolbox for many years, and they are great.

If you’re into graphics, especially as a n00b, I use GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/) and PaintNet (http://www.getpaint.net/) for most everything.

Then, there is always the very useful OSSwin Project (http://osswin/sourceforge.net), and they have (maybe) thousands of free Windows software for the download.

Having a fraggin’ file system that needs de-fraggin’ all the time is fraggin’ lame, dude. Is that your favorite windows application, the de-fragger? Watching those red blocks get turned into green and yellow blocks? Fraggin’ hopeless.
