For some reason the phrase "dead man walking" has sprung unbidden into my mind.

After ObamaCare/RomneyCare we’ll have to import physicians. Few American with the math, science ability and work ethos to become a physicians are going to work in a political/bureaucratic, public housing quality medical system. We’ll squeeze out/shaft this present older generation, and then after they die off, the quality will go the way of public housing, HUD, guys standing by the highway. I see no reason that physicians won’t become unionized, along with all the hospital staff. National strikes, coffee breaks, ‘not my shift’, all that will become the norm.

“In September 2005 the GMC found Dr Shankar guilty of serious professional misconduct after he dismissed the case of a baby with a blocked artery and then forged his notes on the examination.
Nine-day-old Daniel Miller, whose leg had turned dark blue, had a life threatening blood clot and his toes were becoming gangrenous, but Dr Shankar had said his nappy was too tight.

He was suspended for six months, and after a failed appeal in March 2007 received a further nine month ban.
However, in January 2008 the GMC allowed him to return to unrestricted practice.”

These are the kind of doctors the fools who voted for Obama will get, under Obamacare. The incompetent doctors will work for the government. The really competent physicians will work “under the table” with a select group of patients who are willing to pay for their treatment privately.

Well, yes, incompetent doctor, but now if you don’t like a diagnosis, you go get another. Under socialized medicine, if they say you don’t get a second opinion you don’t get one unless/until he kills someone else. And it may be too late by then for you, too.
