Sunstein says "Abolish Marriage " ( creates dependence/loyalty only to "state?)

Think of the implications:

If there is no “marriage”, there will inevitably be no need for family “names”, family “heritage”, no family ‘alliances”-—everyone will have a first name familiar identifier, last name or designation would only need to be numerical so the system could index each person for services, control etc.

In the end, the only FAMILY alliance would be the BIG ONE—central authority, the dispenser of all things—the GOVERNMENT.

Don’t you see, just as faith affiliation competes with central authority (Marxism does not want to compete with GOD for loyalty).

The very last bastian of competing loyalty is the nuclear family.

It must be annihilated, beginning with it’s bonding glue—marriage—so all citizens of the state adhere loyalty to only one source. Central authority.

For a person to hold to such ridiculous theory is fine...it's a free country and one can think whatever they like as long as they don't hurt someone else with these silly ideas.

But for such a person to be selected for a position of authority in the government is outrageous and speaks volumes about the person(s) who select him.

Sounds extreme, but he’s really saying what the left thinks. They hate marriage. They want to do away with marriage.

I don't see in the article where last name or first name is mentioned. Where is this discussion ?

Cass Sunstein should hold no position of any government authority and yet he is in this Obama administration.

Hitler had his ghouls. Obama has his.

I think you are reading a lot more into it than exists in his statement. He only argues for abolishing a state notion of marriage and relabeling the legal implications as a civil union.

Religions have different notions of what marriage is but the one I adhere to considers it to be a sacrament. Why would I want the state to determine who cannot or who must be allowed to participate in this sacrament? Why would I want the state to count a 3 minute wedding at a vegas drive in with a justice of the peace elvis impersonator to be equivalent to a sacrament or wedding vows before God?

Guess he’s invoking that “Freedom from religion clause” in the Constitution. The one right below “The separation of church and state” clause.

We pretty much have already abolished marriage in some communities. The federal Child Support Enforcement Program, part of the “great society” welfare/enslavement programs has made marriage obsolete. A woman can have a baby outside of marriage and still be able to get money from the father after he leaves until the child is grown.

If a woman has several children by one man, the courts limit the total amount of support per month a man has to pay. If a woman has several children, each by different men, then she can get her full amount from each man.

The Child Support “safety net” has already replaced the Marriage Contract.

HELLO?

I clearly said “consider the implications”

I DID NOT QUOTE FROM THE ARTICLE.

It is all about a progression of ideas friend. Water flows to it’s most logical point. This is dangerous ideology.

Gee, did this moron consider how many numbers it would take to identify someone so the government could coninute to collect taxes?

For example, you might have Mohammad 000000000013. Of course you could really zero in so the government could keep tract of where he lives by adding a zip code: Mohammad 000000007858613. If he owns a gun 000000XX7858613. Vacations in Afghanistan 000069XX7858613.

Well you get the idea. What a wonderful world for a bureaucrat with a computer. Soon everyone will be accounted for in every aspect of their life.

If this weren't so serious, it would be funny.

Everything that the Judeo-Christian heritage espouses is being attacked by satan's fools everywhere, even in the White House.

Ephesians 6:12 "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." NIV

Daniel 8:23“In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become completely wicked, a stern-faced king, a master of intrigue, will arise. 24He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the mighty men and the holy people. 25He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power. NIV

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits, who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Leviticus 5:1 "'If a person sins because he does not speak up when he hears a public charge to testify regarding something he has seen or learned about, he will be held responsible." NIV

This speaks to everyone. If we have no other mandate to speak up and speak out against the evil designs of those who would destroy the USofA, we have this one.

Religion is not needed to oppose homosexual marriage.

in fact you should NOT use religion to argue against it because the pro-homosexuals like this fool use that to marginalize you.

Marriage is an institution, society rewards the insititution NOT the individual. Marriage between one man and one woman promote the future of society. Homosexuals contribute NOTHING to the continuance of society.
