So my son was slouching at his desk in his reading class. The teacher comes up and says " If Obama walked in this class right no, what do you think he'd think about you?".
My son answered..."That I'm slouching?"
Teacher.."But what do you think he'd think ABOUT you?"
Son.." That I'm being lazy?"
Teacher.." and don't you want to make Pres. Obama proud? Don't you want to please him?"
I was stunned..I bust out laughing because it sounds so silly! I told my son I'm glad he didn't smart off about Obama because she is grading him, but that didn't seem appropriate (aside from sounding stupid) and to let me know if she does this kind of thing again. My son..know to be a bit of a drama king, kept exclaiming that she is trying to indocrinate him. I told him he's too smart for it to work..:)
what state are u in
My son had to endure a week of being muslim in the 7th grade last year.
Jesus is banned from the room but those low life’s are taught.
Great reply. Parents should be teaching their kids about real life at home so that they can cope with this type of teacher without being a robot....But since he knew when to stop, your doing a great job....:O)
LOL - that would be my dad too.
excellent
You want to know the biggest fraud of all...My son attended the local YMCA for kindergarten..as you walk into the lobby of the YMCA, you see a lovely picture of Jesus Christ and the YMCA posts the Christian values on signs throughout the YMCA, yet no celebration of Christmas! but all the other fake and phony religions were celebrated...I held my tongue. BUT, I’m sure knowing myself as righteous as I am from my head to my toes...I will probably appear before some school board about some issue, I am not going to be assimilated with...professing my beliefs before my son graduates from High School!
IMO, your answer was best!
7th grade was wonderful for me. I remember coming to class in the morning and before fist hour began, the morning announcements would bellow over the speaker system. In the 7th grade, I knew I was a conservative. One morning I cheered when the principal announced that Ronald Reagan was the new President of the United States of America.
How sad this young man must be hearing a teacher ask him what Obama would think of him because he was being a kid and slouching in his chair. Too bad this young man did not have the opportunity to witness the magic which was Reagan and to see how a real leader reacts under pressure. What a shame for a teacher to use a communist pig as a positive role model for a young man.
[... That Im a typical white kid? ...]
Is he white?
Thanks, it’s really something we have to bring home to all politicians!
We did the indian guides deal with the Y. You go to the camps and look at the signs through the years and about the mid 1960’s they all stop thanking God or Jesus and just have generic sayings.
Been hitting the sauce tonight??
sounds like my wonderful Dad! He personally kicked his 7 sons asses and many a schoolmate in the matters of the world! He was a wee Scotsman in stature but I don’t know of any man that I have ever met in my life that was pure masculine man in every aspect of himself. I profess he was the most wonderful person I have ever met in my life! Jordy (George/Dad) you rocked! We miss you! Sorry for sounding off but when it comes to matters of protecting your children...there are Dad’s that do rock! and mine was one.
As am I, keep up the good fight, it's nice to know I'm not alone :-)
YOur son is just fine.. there is no problem here. He is a leader NOT a follower. He beats to his own drum and I bet you’ll tell me his is one smart kid!
Kudos to him! Keep it up son!
I think you should go down to the school and make it very clear to the teacher that her job is to teach and not conduct political indoctrination.
And make no mistake at all, that is exactly what it was.
No, how is it?
LOL. awesome.
You are definately not alone. I lead my own life full of the best values handed down to me. The biggest values I try to uphold and pass on to my son are empathy, humor and get the facts RIGHT!
