all it takes for a team to get to the WS is to take a trade from the Mariners....thats three we traded away that went to the world series the next year: the first two won....Freddie Garcia and Jamie Moyer...and this year the Phillies have Raul Ibanez......

I painfully remember the 1980 NL Playoffs between the Phillies and Astros, one of the best playoff series in history.

Went to my first Phillie game in the early 60's at Connie Mack and stuck with them ever since. I guess sometimes we get what we deserve.
Missed seeing Ted and Richie play but did see Stan the Man at the end of his career, of course got to see the pitching greats of the 60's.
