LOL You go that right.
Theeeeeeeeee Yankees win!
See yuz Thursday.
All's well that ends well.
ogawd that J&R commercial is hilarious! The gut stomping on his bluetooth...
Sorry if I didn’t ping anyone other than the one person who wondered if we were going to do a thread for the rest of the playoffs, and that includes you, Reagan Man. Enjoy the rest of the baseball playoffs RM, and don’t have too much champagne. (also please read my PM, RM)
Yeah, don’t even bother to play the rest of the games, just give it to the Yankees and enjoy your champagne. 2009 World Champion New York Yankees. (Just read article via yahoo sports about botched umpire calls but they would have won
anyway.)
Gloat away. I give up.
Great pics.
Thanks for the ping.
Keep’em coming.
I love baseball and have been a Yankee fan since the Dodgers left Brooklyn when I was a kid. There is enough trashtalk thrown around without engaging in ridicule. That is a tool of the liberal left.
What set me off was your dumb thread yesterday about Mariano Rivera. You know which one. Nuff said.
No prob; hey we Red Sox fans can be annoying I guess, even if we’re having what we think is a little fun. That 86 yr wait
(a team out in Chicago has been waiting even longer) followed by a couple wins, finally, will do that. It was really more like poking fun at the team that has 26 rings on its 10 fingers, and may get another on top of it. Jealousy but more just a little rubbing it in about a
few years ago. (For this, I guess we are crybabies.)
The Rivera thing was more of the same, “hey looka this”. I will say this: In 2004, Rivera gave up the lead a couple times and the Red Sox went on to win. On opening day 2005,
the Yankees had to sit through the Red Sox opening day when the flag was finally hoisted up. When Rivera was introduced at Fenway Park, he was cheered by the Sox fans. Some of it was probably “hey, thanks for helping us win!” but some of it was probably “hey, great pitcher, but nobody’s perfect”. TO HIS CREDIT, Mo smiled and laughed. He took it well. I admire him for that.
Now I’m going off to the toilet to throw up, after admitting that (just kidding)
If there is anyone in MLBB who represents the best that baseball has to offer, its Mariano Rivera. I felt the same way about a Boston player named Carl Yaztremski. One of my all time favorites. Both Mo and Yaz are gentlemen, on and off the field. Unlike many players today, Mo and Yaz have/had the right attitude to play the game. No two players deserve to be in Cooperstown more than Rivera and Yazstremski. One day Mo will join Yaz.

Werth delivers for The Fightins!
GO PHILS!
Is it just me, or are these commentators on TBS really lame?
I was just about to say that. The Dodgers have the Phillies right where they want them? The Dodgers will have all the momentum if they win this game? Really?!
That’s just a sample of one inning’s worth of brain-dead commentary.
On an unrelated note, why oh why can they not teach Howard to bunt? This shift is getting absurd.
WAY TO GO FIGHTIN PHILS!!!!
Final 10-4
A great night in Philadelphia!
Not many FReeper Philly fans I see. Oh well.
