Chavez-lackey Manuel Zelaya will be returned to power in Honduras. The AFP reported:
Honduran negotiators reached agreement on Wednesday on a plan to restore President Manuel Zelaya to office and end a political crisis triggered by his ouster in a June coup.
"We have agreed in a document on point number six, which relates to the restitution of the powers of state to where they were before June 28, 2009," Victor Meza, Zelaya's representative, told a news conference.
Restoring the state to the situation before the coup would imply Zelaya's return to office, something that had been opposed by Robert Micheletti, the head of the coup-backed interim government.
Micheletti and Zelaya must now ratify the agreement reached by their representatives in talks Tegucigalpa.

Yes, thank you!
HonCitizen - we need a report from you - what is going on in Honduras today?
I am soooo happy that the USA came back to tie Costa Rica to get you guys into the World Cup.
Somehow I don’t think at this moment too many Hondurans care about Zelaya.
I am guessing that the elections will never be held!
I can see troops from Columbia and Nicaragua being invited in to help quell civil unrest.
I am sure that Obama will never allow that to happen though.
Thanks for the info. I received a communique from Honduras in my email(I think a FReeper)but couldn’t translate it. I knew they wouldn’t let this scum bag back into office and I am sure the Supreme court and congress won’t allow it either.

This works about as good as any I have found. It is not perfect, but helps.
IF there are elections held at all...
A statement from pro-Michiletti media (reported less than an hour ago) indicated the following:
"We understand that a group representing Zelaya has agreed to submit to a determination by (Honduras') Congress whether Zelaya may return to power or not."
Zelaya is trying to pull a fast one.
Well, there was some good news for them today, they qualified for the World Cup for the first time since 1982.
About 27 years worth of celebrating. Kind of cool that we helped them.
“opposed by Robert Micheletti, the head of the coup-backed interim government.”
Second reference to ‘coup.’
The author certainly has an agenda. The US Law Library of Congress and the UN both determined it was NOT a coup. Can’t imagine Micheletti agreeing to restore Zelaya.
An on-scene source has nothing on this story, though one of her commenters indicates it’s not true.

She does have a story on this evening’s soccer match, though, so her blog is current.
Any more news on this? Is Honduras actually going to allow that traitor Zelaya back into country, let alone the presidency even as a token figurehead? Leftists would forever claim this as a victory, just the way the media & world for most part talks about the "military coup" that deposed Zelaya, which was a complete lie.
Understand the deadline is midnight tonight for the agreement.
Have heard nothing more.
Thanks for the info!!!
Have heard nothing more.
Again, thanks for the update. I have been gone since Friday Oct 16, and was not able to respond. I am just kind of curious....any further news on this? If not, I wonder if the liberal media was just trying to instigate something in Honduras, based on false & misleading information....in other words, their typical false information & deceitful reporting of lies as "actual news"
Obama REFUSES to support liberty ANYWHERE it conflicts with a socialist state ....
I understand the sticking point is the re-installation of Zelaya. Looks like talks are frozen. (that is good)
Not much came out of Honduras over the weekend about this.
Thanks again!!! With all the bad news for Americans patriots & conservatives (related health care debacle being rammed through, 0bozo’s socialist-fascist-commie actions, our soldiers being killed in Afghanistan due to 0bozo’s pro-muzzie leanings, commie radical homo czars, etc, I am glad that one piece of good news so far is the Honduran govt sticking to it’s guns. I agree with you, I hope the talks are frozen for good.
