” “So a bank could either make a cash donation to ACORN, they could give equipment donations or they could work with ACORN to provide these loans to people who are poor credit risks.

Does she have proof of that? Is there any proof of that? “

She says it’s in the CRA bill...I haven’t researched it, but she said all of it would be on her website, which I listed a link for.

Actually, now that I look, there were several articles about this some time back.

From very personal experience, I can tell you 100% truthfully that HUD enables ACORN on many fronts including the administration of so-called “equal housing tests” by which ACORN (or an affliliate) will file fraudulent claims of housing discrimination against rental propery owners using HUD’s encorcment powers. The outcome is usually a “financial settlement” (read legal extortion)with ACORN. The alternative is a star chamber court convened by HUD against offending landlords. HUD represents and enables ACORN through this whole process. A private citizen can do nothing (except hire an expensive attorney whose fees far outstrip what ACORN will accept as a “settlement”)against these people...legislators look the other way..and the corruption continues. Best wishes to all who are exposing this national scam and pray for their success in closing it down.

From judiciary testimony

ACORN would force companies provide donations with protests. They called it “protection money.” Muscle for the Money’, Ms. Moncrief testified: “Protection. We were very – not to be flippant, but we were just always very sarcastic about it in the offices. We knew what was going on. And its not that we thought it was funny, it was just one of those things that we talked about. That’s why I said it like that, so you understand.” The ‘Muscle for Money’/’Protection’ programs were carried out against Sherwin Williams, Jackson Hewitt, H&R Block, the Carlyle Group, and Money Mart.
