It has been said that the rev war was preached before it was fought. Today, culture politics has been banned from the pulpit in far too many churches.

non-violent attempts at policy persuasion It is impossible to be "non-violent" if you have a poliical agenda. The definition of "politics" is that it seeks to make rules that will be enforced by Men With Guns.

If the ministers within the good old US of A would crucify their fear of man, get solidly briefed regarding the chief political issues, not sweat necessary division, not get caught up in last days madness, maintain their hope for tomorrow, understand their liberties under God and our Constitution, not become so heavenly minded that theyre no earthly good, focus on the majors and blow off bowing to cash instead of convictions, then maybe . . . just maybe . . . we will see their righteous influence cause our nation to take the needed sharp turn away from the secularist progressives speedily approaching putrid pit. Finally - someone who talks my language!

I think the real problem is that most pastors (and most Christians and conservatives for that matter) do not realize that political Liberalism is in itself a secular religion. In attempting to fuse the mindsets of Liberalism and Christianity is violating the commandment “thou shall have no other gods before me” as Liberalism sees the government as god.
