Well, this is interesting, had forgotten about the topic. I bought one of those direction-reversing spinning toys for a friend's child, well, that was some years ago. That's pretty interesting, and must be related to this somehow.

Oh wait! I remember Gömböc now! They rocked back (and forth) in the day. It was never the same though after Vince Neil left. I guess you could say he was their “stable” equilibrium.
