AUDIENCE MEMBER: We love you, Barack!

THE PRESIDENT: I love you back. (Applause.)

Sounds like a KY kind of night.

That's the story of America: of ordinary citizens organizing, agitating and advocating for change; of hope stronger than hate; of love more powerful than any insult or injury; of Americans fighting to build for themselves and their families a nation in which no one is a second-class citizen, in which no one is denied their basic rights, in which all of us are free to live and love as we see fit.

It's nice, but nothing above what our Founding Fathers had in mind.

Are these people actualy assuming America sucks and they are not fans of it or of what it were? Or maybe that they are the only fan boyz out there? Like no soldier out there counts for some of that?

We are moving ahead on Don't Ask Don't Tell. (Applause.) We should not be punishing patriotic Americans who have stepped forward to serve this country. We should be celebrating their willingness to show such courage and selflessness on behalf of their fellow citizens, especially when we're fighting two wars. (Applause.)

Yep, they sure will hold hostage that helicopter stick, I hear.

Mark my words, the gays are not out there speaking of the military as to becoming drafted grunts, but aristocrates at the stick even if it means keeping the copter unstarted.

That plant seems to be in the audience every time he gives a speech to some interest group. I guess he/she/it replaced the fainting girl on the campaign tail.

Obama doesn't believe in human rights at conception. (Above his paygrade.) Why should he believe in them at any point?

What a joke.

Great point. What ever happened to all the “fainting” since BO won the election?

Gay rights advocates march on D.C.
The Washington Times ^ | October 11, 2009 | Brett Zongker AP
Posted on October 11, 2009 6:29:58 PM PDT by jazusamo

WASHINGTON — Thousands of gay rights supporters marched Sunday from the White House to the Capitol, demanding that President Barack Obama keep his promises to allow gays to serve openly in the military and work to end discrimination against gays.

Rainbow flags and homemade signs dotted the crowds filling Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House as people chanted “Hey, Obama, let mama marry mama” and “We’re out, we’re proud, we won’t back down.” Many children were also among the protesters. A few counter-protesters had also joined the crowd, which stretched several blocks by the afternoon.

Jason Yanowitz, a 37-year-old computer programmer from Chicago, held his daughter, 5-year-old Amira, on his shoulders. His partner, Annie, had their 2-year-old son, Isiah, in a stroller. Yanowitz said more straight people were turning out to show their support for gay rights.

~snip~

Obama’s political energies have been focused on two wars, the economic crisis and health care reform, though he pledged “unwavering” commitment even as he wrestled with those problems.

...denied their basic rights...

Funny. Barry likes 'basic rights' - as he interprets them - more than the Bill of Rights. Maybe not so funny.

I’m sure we all envision to defend America for its “basic rights” indeed.

I know many roudy Army soldiers who think of nothing when restrictions and curfews apply and what not. I cannot imagine the whining during deployment when surrounded by girly Obambi clones.

“That’s the story of America: of ordinary citizens organizing, agitating and advocating for change,”

But if you are not a Democrat, black or homosexual, then you are a gun nut, religious bigot or fascist veteran and most likely clinging to your guns and religion. Or you are a right wing terrorist.
(TOTUS: Uh Barry, stick to the script.)

After 11 days in office, obambi gets the Nobel Peace Prize. Well since it was decided on Feb 11. Now he talks to the Gays, too bad he didn’t mention Larry Sinclair. I guess obambi wanted to be in front of a crowd a bit more friendly than Copenhagen.

Elsewhere...

Under the bus, guys:

WHITE HOUSE: Gay rights marchers? Where? “He knows this march is happening, and he can’t even acknowledge it?” Hey, that’s the same way he treated the 9/12 Tea Party protesters . . . .

UPDATE: White House official calls gays part of “Internet left fringe.”
