Hmmm ...should I or should I not? I run a mix of a Nokia E-71 and an I-Phone 3G, and they are both good machines. It’s just that I had to jailbreak my IPhone (the local provider where I live - Orange Telcom - is a POS in terms of pricing and the like), and obviously new updates are looked at with a jaundiced eye (no need to brick the darn thing). I think it works perfectly as is for me, and I have the latest update before this.

I think it works perfectly as is for me, and I have the latest update before this. In your case, I think you should not until you can be certain you can jailbreak it to work with your carrier.
