Contrary to reports, MGM has yet to sell the marketing and distribution rights of the James Bond franchise to 20th Century Fox. Claiming to be contacted directly by the studio on the matter, Film School Rejects set the record straight by forwarding MGM's denial that the taking-over story is incorrect.
An official source, as reported by the site, also mentioned the studio still owns the Bond property and will announce the release date and distribution strategy in due time. Another denial came from 20th Century Fox as well. To IGN, sources at Fox slammed the speculation. They also insisted people are making a speculative leap based on Fox's existing arrangement with MGM.

It’s funny you mention Thunderball (McClory v Fleming). If they cannot get right two times, they should stop. There was a plan to make one in 2000, called “Warhead 2000 AD”.

That’s why he suggested they should remake it “again”.

Tim Geithner is Aurius Goldfinger. "No, Mr. Bond, I don't need to nuke Fort Knox. Instead I'll destroy the dollar to drive up the value of my gold. Bwhahahahahaha!"

Soros would be a great Bond villian. Give him a white Persian cat.

I don’t think that’s it. Someone identified it on FR some time back. Looks like a Woodsman but bigger.

"For Your Eyes Only" even had a Thunderball-esque sequence with the villain in the giant salvage diving suit.
That said, I really did love this film.
It's Roger Moore's best performance as 007, IMHO.

The scene where Bond and Havelock were about to be fed to the sharks came directly from the 1954 novel “Live and Let Die”.

You’re right; best Moore film and one of the most believable story lines in the series.

In FYEO, Moore actually looked and acted like Bond...
To: buccaneer81
His best film by far. Octopussy wasn't bad, but A View to Kill was horrible.
