“Social Justice” is an arm of liberation theology, promoted by “some Catholics”. It is NOT the teaching of Rome!

It certainly is a teaching of the church...just not the way it is distorted by many.
I begin with the disclaimer that I’m NOT a Roman Catholic so you can ascribe whatever motives you please to me...
but whatever might be meant by this is “not the teaching of Rome” this nonsense does NOT stop at the walls of the Vatican. Perhaps popes have personally avoided it for the most part, but they hardly seem to care about the blathering of some of the cardinals. General papal addresses are NOT going to do the trick here. Culprits, some at a very high level, are going to have to be CALLED OUT.
WRONG. It is an official part of the church teachings as espoused by the American conference of catholic bishops. Go to their web site and look for yourself.
Social Justice is short for “how can I get someone else to do the charity that I should do personally”.
Why is it Americans couldn’t see this through Kennedy and Pelosi????
it predates liberation theology, going back at least to the thirties.
Several months ago, I noticed, in our church bulletin, that they were looking to form a ‘social justice’ committee. That was the last I’ve heard of it. Of course, I don’t go there much anymore. I try to go to a parish with the traditional Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form), when I can.
