Amen.

Here is a side note. I’m in a Slovak Catholic Parish. Our Pastor had a Homily right after Obama was elected explaining what religion was like under communism. It was brutal. He hinted, without coming right out and saying it, that we might get to a point where mass on EWTN and a heartfelt rosary are all that are available to us.

Along with that, we camp all over MI and OH. Some of the masses we hit are SO liberal, it’s like attending a Game Show. I pray hard for the enlightenment of that parish and give it up for the poor souls.

>>You can only conceive of it as “self righteousness” because you do not know, or at best do not understand, the righteousness that comes by faith from God.<<

Presuming the Mind of God is pretty self-righteous. One can go there, I’m not.

The devil is known to come as an Angel of Light. Whispering in the ears of believers how wonderful they are. How everyone else is wrong, how one can “know” what God thinks.

Good luck with that.

Exactly what I was thinking - nothing wrong with social justice in itself. The term, however, has been hijacked by wannabe commies.

One would hope he’d find himself with an empty cathedral and catch the hint from the people, if he doesn’t catch it from the pope or (even better) the bible. It’s not just worship services that would be a problem; what the heck are confessions and “pastoral counseling” with this idiot like? Blind shepherds.

I had the benefit of a fine Jesuit high school education when I grew up in NYC. That being said, I had to humor the obnoxious calls for ‘social justice’ and ‘liberation theology’ embraced by so many of the Jesuit priests teaching there. It was nonsense then and its nonsense now. That’s why my high school doesn’t get a dime of support from me.

I’m not wonderful at all. God is. I think you’re telling us more like what it’s like on your side of the street.

Jesus let us know that He wished us to be concerned about both the body and soul of our “brother”.

There are plenty of examples in Scripture to make this clear—I just don’t have time now to give chapter and verse.

Those who say they know their Sciptures will already know where to find most of the examples.

Ah...and as such the very reason(s) I walked away from several forms of psuedo-faith. Raised Catholic, Catholic school and all. Later became “born again,” only to be disappointed in the church again. Decided to be an atheist as all the teachings seemed empty to me while the pseudoreligionists propagated their vile.

Time, faith, and personal Bible Study with my Mom's old, now 60 year old, well cross referenced, preacher's Bible helped me find my humble way back.

Amen!
It’s me too sometimes. I try to avoid it because when The Lord wants you to be humble, He sends someone to humiliate you.

That’s not comfortable!

Why, I haven’t told you a thing about my side of the street.
You however, have let us know what it’s like on yours.

The Fringe Media (formerly known as the Mainstream Media) portrays the Catholic Church as a right wing organization due to its stance on abortion.

Wrong! Other than abortion, the Catholic Church is a down the line Leftwing organization. There are plenty of Catholic conservatives, but the Church is Leftist and has been for a long, long time.

The warning in my experience is I became a lost soul due to conflictng teachings of liberal priests and preachers. I left those churches to find the God of the Bible.

While it sounds like quite a spiritual journey, God had me in His Hands the whole time. That I truly believe, because I was seeking Him, even when I claimed to be an athiest.

It is?
Not if they follow the actual teachings from the Vatican.

You are talking about Parishes, not “The Church”

What projection are you seeing? Why don’t you explain it to me?
