I make monthly trips right straight up I-91 for just that reason.

OK, so i can get my powerball tickets locally, and only buy fireworks about 4 times a year, but yep, I head there for booze & smokes fromthe CT shoreline.

Hell, for 2010, I’m buying a Rhode Island non-resident saltwater fishing license ($10) for fishing my homestate as opposed to giving them the $30 resident license fee. Bastards.

Every Christmas agents from Pennsylvania are stationed in Washington DC to watch as Pennsylvania residents come down to buy their Christmas cheer. They radio the tag numbers back and arrests are made as people go back home.

Liquor buyers voting with their feet. When will these idiots ever understand the basic law of demand ...when you raise the price with higher taxes the market will buy less of the product OR seek cheaper substitutes ...like buying out of state.

If idiocy were a crime there would be bars and locked gates on every state capital building and Washington DC would be a penal colony.
