As long as they’re not liberal college towns... let’s get a list of great conservative small towns together...

Considering that Lexington, VA is the home of VMI, it is the antithesis of a liberal college town. This was where Thomas Jackson taught, and no one in Lexington can forget that for a second.

Lexington VA is really nice, but we’re looking at Farmville VA. It’s a less pricey, small college town and the drive to Lexington, Richmond or Charlottesville is not bad if we need or want something Farmville doesn’t have.

Wow. I’ve actually been to three of them...Saugerties, Mount Vernon and Rockland. All interesting in their own ways.

The only house Jackson ever owned is in Lexinton, and tours are available. We need a Jackson today.

I’ll add to that vehicle safety inspections, and no concealed carry.

Bryan, Texas. Actually Bryan/College Station, Texas; but that makes it too large I think! Bryan is a great place...and even Texas Monthly says it is the hidden jewel in Texas.

Yes, I’m proud the town where my alma mater resides made the list. It’s a beautiful town, and I’m glad I was there yesterday. :)
W&L is a rather conservative school too. Not as conservative as VMI, but still rather conservative.

Rural Retreat, Va. The Home of “Dr Pepper.” There isn’t anything there but good people. Left the car keys in the car and no one stole it. I’ll visit there again one day.
