Assuming the sex was consensual and not forced under threat of dismissal Every demand from one's employer carries with it an implied threat of discipline, dismissal, loss of future opportunity.

"But will CBS exercise it and terminate their deal with the pervert and his production company?" If the analysis of this article is accurate, CBS might consider severing its contract with Letterman in the hopes of saving tens of millions of dollars. But who knows these days? We do know that a lot of lawyers will get some big paydays soon.

World Wide Pants, silly and now a creepy name of a company owned by a Slippery Zipper.
I never liked Letterman, he always creeped me out and his juvenile sense of humor seldom made me laugh.

I’m where you are. No sympathy for anyone involved, not Letterman, not CBS, not the women.

I don't see settlements of 100s of millions. Let's say there were 4 women and they each got cheks of 5 mill. Wouldn't that end it?
CBS won't cancel, for now. His ratings are up and Conan is killing the Tonight Show.
I would like CBS to dump him and have a different host each week.

.
Can’t stand the old pervert.
I read that he is a frequent visitor of NY call girls, also.
I happened to be channel surfing one night (I don’t watch him on a regular basis) and stopped for the ‘stupid pet tricks’. He kept sticking his arrogant, ugly mug into the face of a small dog and repeating over and over in a falseto voice, ‘Hello doggie’ until the dog bit him on the nose. Showed up the next night (couldn’t resist tuning in the next night) with a hugh bandage on his nose- even had to have some stitches. Priceless. Serves him right.
He is an unfunny sob who refuses to let his guests talk, constantly butting in trying to be funny and and is often insulting.

Letterman may have never visited repercussions upon those who refused, but nobody without an overall view of the situation would know that.

I believe Bubba had a morality clause in one of his policies...and IIRC, they said he made money because of it...(Don’t ask me how it works)...

I smell another bailout coming.
Or if we are lucky they will just fold up like a bad lawn chair and go away.

Wow. This is too good. Now if they tie in Bev Jarrett and the Chicago slums and Obama on a wriggle-proof line, that would make my day.

Yesterday, Obama, Michelle, Oprah and the Chicago crooks crash and burn.
Today CBS, and Letterman crash and burn.
I just don’t know if it’s healthy to laugh this much.... but it sure feels good.

The funniest thing about this is what an idiot Letterman is. So many people wouldn’t care a whit about this if he hadn’t been so VICIOUS to Sarah Palin, conservatives, and Republicans. The general public looks forward to the time when people like that to take a VICIOUS fall.
