“It’s not a sonic cannon. It’s not the death ray or anything like that,” Putnam said. “It’s about long-range communications being heard intelligibly.”
Oh, Ok.
I knew the day would come that these so-called non-lethal methods would be employed against civilians in America.
Coming to a Tea Party near you.
what manly men these be
fu%k those American citizens
BTW..know what the demonstrators were chanting at the police?
USA USA USA
so many NWO order globalists on freerep.
sad
Perhaps they could use them in Chicago.
Police said they used the device last Thursday to issue prerecorded warnings to disperse when hundreds of demonstrators, including self-described anarchists, without a protest permit held a march that threatened to turn violent.I hate "self-described anarchists" (or, rather, I despise them) as much as the next guy. But this is not right. This should not be happening in the streets of American cities against American citizens.
Look at how easy it is for police to perceive that a situation "threatened to turn violent".
They've accused grannies at Tea Parties of "threatening to turn violent".
This is really bad. In a just world, he chief of police would lose his job, his citizenship and be deported to ChavezLand, where I'm sure he'd be more than welcome.
It’d be Hell to have to wear that thing home.
On-site observations that I have read or seen indicate that there were 4 policemen for each protestor, and any claim that a group of 400 students Friday night on the lawn of the campus of the University of Pittsburgh was “threatening to turn violent” is nonsense. A tear-gas like container was thrown into one dorm where other students were just watching from above, and one girl was taken to the hospital after an asthmatic reaction to the gas. There are other reports that the number of unidentified people actually involved in breaking the 12 shop windows is approximately “one” and that could have been an agent provocateur, but broken glass was about the only thing I saw being reported on the Pittsburgh TV station that Thursday.
Why use all that fancy, expensive equipment when some well-aimed bars of soap will do?
Scary. Questions to ponder: Is this still a free country? Are we still Capitalist or are we Fascist? Is the tipping point coming soon or are we already serfs working for the special interests?
I remember reading stories on how people defecting from China or the Soviet Union grew up thinking they had been living as free men.
Don’t LRAD me bro
I understand this can be accomplished more easily with a loud broadcast of Yoko Ono singing.
