LOL...maybe everyone should register with a party and get health care accordingly. Then we’ll see which system works!

What a steaming pile of flatulence.
I can just see him stumbling around in circles screaming in tongues while his underwear is around his ankles.

Conservatives and liberals can agree on the basics [ . . . ] that it is shortsighted of the states to cut back on the most essential work of government, which is the education of the young
No. The most essential work of government is the enforcement of just laws that maintain order and restrain unjust violence from criminals and invaders.
The education of the young is the province of parents.

Enough with the shrieking. Pass healthcare reform. Let's have more Republican "shrieking"! Kill this health care scam!

Poor excuse for an opinion, but like some other things...everybody has one.
"Old men shouldn't be allowed to doze off at the switch and muck up the works for the young who will have to repair the damage. Get over yourselves. Your replacements have arrived, and you should think about them now and then. Enough with the shrieking. Pass healthcare reform. "
I simply hope he is not a republican...and, thank God, for older and wiser men and women. He must be a death culture Democratic Party member...just as soon kill off the elderly and unborn so he will have so-called free healthcare.

Thirty-two percent of the population identifies with the GOP, and if we cut off healthcare to them, we could probably pay off the deficit in short order. I work for my own health care, moron.

The anti-regulation conservatives enabled those people. We're still waiting for an apology. Really. Last I checked, Fannie and Freddie played a major role in the financial meltdown, and they are infested with Democrats who resisted all efforts to reform them.
Last I checked, Chris Dodd is still a corrupt Democrat.

Garrison, you idiot, the whole point is just that, that those opposed to OBAMACARE (you are foolishly throwing them into a bag labelled “Republican”), WANT to “GET OUT”
of the “healthcare” that WE WILL ALL being forced to pay for, probably pretty much ultimately along the same lines now as who pays taxes. You want to see how well the Obamacare issue flies, on its own? Make it a proposal to be paid for ONLY by those who want it! The real title shoulda been “Leave Republicans (i.e., opponents to this Regime) OUT OF IT! YOU AND OBAMA CANNOT IMPOSE ANY OF THIS ON US!!

...believing that they had magical powers over the laws of economics and could hand out mortgages by the fistful to people with no assets and somehow the sun would come out tomorrow. The anti-regulation conservatives enabled those people.
Wow, don't bother letting those pesky little things like facts prevent you from flaunting your ignorance.
Could this clown be any more clueless?!

The so-called cultural wars over abortion and prayer in the schools and pornography and gays, most of it instigated by shrieking ninnies and pompous blowhards... That's a laugh. Garrison Keillor is the poster child for pompous blowhards.

If you really meant it, Mr. Keillor, I'd be game. But cut out must mean cut out. That means a refund of ALL my Medicare payments and no further withholding of same. I also expect a special Republican tax deduction box. Checking the box means that I will not get one dime of care from the government, but that I will be refunded that portion of my taxes that directly or indirectly pay for government medical programs at home and abroad.
After the ink dries on this deal, I'd like to discuss my retirement program.

You hope he’s not Republican?
Keillor recently had a book published, which I didn’t read, but I’m sure it was much along the lines of this cute little meaningless essay, called “Home Grown Democrat”/

Leave it to a Democrat to ignore the Constitution (14th Amendment “Equal Protection Clause”).

The stupid bastard! Kill off the GOP = kill off most of the health care innovators and providers. Then the DEMS will have to turn on each other to fight over the health care scraps.
