With his highly anticipated Octagon debut set for this Wednesdays episode of The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights, Kevin Kimbo Slice Ferguson talks about the large bulls eye that he dawned across his back during his tenure on the reality show.
They respected me. They probably talked crap behind my back, but they respected me, Kimbo said of his popularity inside the TUF crib. I knew that all I could was work my ass off and get better so I could handle my business when the time comes.
Thus far, the street fighting legend has appeared on both of this seasons episodes and was heavily featured in last weeks show. TUF 10″ coach Quinton Rampage Jackson complimented Kimbo on his relentless work ethic and his ability to quickly process new information.
I learned a little bit more skills. A lot more skills, Kimbo said of his improved MMA game. There are more fighters out there for me to fight so I need to make sure I work harder than they do.
Although Spike TV wrapped filming a few months back, the results of this much-talked about season have been tightly sealed, as if Jack Bauers services were requested. The good news for Kimbo is that he did enough during his time on the show to impress UFC brass, regardless of the outcome, to warrant a professional fight inside the Octagon.
If he acts right and flies straight her might have a respectable, rewarding career.
Kimbo will be down and out in round 1
Kimbo will be down and out in round 1
Dana White won’t allow that to happen.
You get it.
ping
He does not know what respect is
I think he confuses respect with intimidation.
apparently
I seem to remember he got his butt kicked right quick not too long ago.
My man Chuck liddell would kill him with technic alone.
Seth Petruzelli in 14 seconds.
Like I say he’s got a glass jaw.
14 seconds. LOL. How embarrasing.
...and Dana White is a business man first and foremost. he stands to make alot of money by keeping Kimbo on TV.
I got youtube blocked here but the video is widely available. He hits him once and Kimbo sees stars.
His “backyard” videos are impressive but he is only fighting street thugs and bar bouncer type guys.
Ha ha ha ha ha ... his Octagon debut was last October .. when Seth Petruzelli KNOCKED HIS ASS OUT in 14 Seconds on national TV
That was funny... but it wasn’t UFC.
Maybe they should have said “UFC debut”
I have watched him fight 2 times. Both times, he was talked up BIG TIME by the announcers. He is huge, he is mean, he is driven. I wouldn’t want to be cought in a dark alley with him. That said, both fights he got the crap knocked out of him in short order. I consider him one of the most over-rated fighters ever.
Big mean bad looking. Very intimidating. A cash cow.
