This one, if you read the article, was definitely an appropriate use of the 3 strikes law. Note that at the end, he’s going on trial shortly for witness tampering for trying to stop someone from testifying in this matter. Long string of other offenses, plus a couple of prior not just felonies, but violent felonies.

All the three time losers do this. They know if they commit a felony it is their last chance, but they do it anyway, commit some small felony and think that somehow the three strikes law won't apply to them.
They always scream like squashed p***ies when they get convicted and sentenced. I remember when three strikes was first re-instated in CA, people were stealing candy bars and going to jail for life and the media was doing its best to get the law overturned, it didn't work.
