I noticed the sparse pumpkin patch at the veggie ranch down the road from me too. (Michigan)

Oh yeah? Well I just ate a cantalope picked from the vine here in frosty Minnesota. Not only that, but I picked apricots from my orchard and am now in the process of harvesting walnuts, black walnuts, buart nuts and butter nuts. All that from a place just outside the metro cell.
