Parade will be Sunday Sept. 27th at 1 PM Downtown Raritan, New Jersey.
TOPICS: History; Local News; Military/Veterans
KEYWORDS: marinemedalofhonor
The Marine Corp band will be playing at the local Community College on Saturday, as well as in the parade on Sunday. It's a small town with a big parade, come on by if you are close.

Raritan represents the classic, hard working, Democrat town. Plenty of patriots who don’t realize their party has left them and their values behind. Truly unfortunate.

Sgt Basilone won the Congressional Medal of Honor at Guadacanal and went home to sell war bonds.
He felt that he was needed as the War in the Pacific progressed towards Japan so he asked for a bunk on the ships heading to Iwo Jima.
He landed and fought towards the airport which was their goal. As he led his squad forward an artillery explosion enveloped him. He gave his all in his final battle for his country.
Hand Salute!

Basilone Road is just North of Camp Pendleton in San Clemente, CA.
When I first saw the Thread, I thought the parade would be there.
As has been said here before, where do we find men such as these?
