Hell, I’m still up for some reason.

I need to go to bed. Instead, I somehow felt compelled to reply in this thread.

We have a system that acknowledges that people can make mistakes and provides the means to correct those mistakes. The 2008 election will be remembered as the one that outfailed Jimmy Carter, and Obama/Biden/Pelosi/Reid will forever be the mugshots in the family album.

When you know a storm is coming, don’t fret the storm, instead, learn to dance in the rain.

In other words, plan to survive and you likely will. We are on the right side of all of this, we will all suffer some, but we will win.

Obama and his nut-bags can take many things from us, but they can’t take our american spirit and we damn sure won’t give it away.

Something IS coming, and for me, I wish it to be in my time, so that my children and grandchildren may live in freedom.

So, to those that want to tear this country apart, I say, “bring it on”. You see, I am just as willing to destroy their world, as they are demonstrating that they intend to destroy mine.

Oh, and we have the advantage, God is on our side so we can’t lose.

Keep your powder dry.....

It took me 2 plus years to sleep in my bed after my wife died in 2004. I slept at the computer, in the lazy-boy, the couch and on the floor.

Sleep came fitfully and not for long.

Finally, about a year and a half ago, I started to get normal sleep ... 4-6 hrs every night.

Now I'm back to being up all night and I get about an hour or so sleep in the computer chair.

When I feel the same I work on my prep lists or preps. Knowing that I have the resources to face what we all perceive to be coming is the only comfort you can get at times. Loading mags helps to pass the time and is more useful than counting sheep.

This "feeling" has permeated American society. The fat assed drunken killer from Massachusetts once called it a National malaise. It happens when a true communist takes over the White House and the The Failed Democratic party© controls communism. The 1930S. The Failed Carter Administration© and now this mess.

Its the feeling of loss. Loss of freedom. Loss of opportunity. Loss of optimism that tomorrow will be a better day. The hopeless feeling that everything you worked for is at risk by an all powerful state that can take your property at will and even your liberty. Why run a business for the state> Why invest $100,000 in a college education to become a low paid bureaucrat? Why be ambitious when they are about to dismantle the best health care system in the world? Why vote (the elections are rigged to ensure Democrat victories)? What is there to make anyone believe that tomorrow will be any better than today?

Watch the financial markets as people begin to understand that life as we know it has ended and the future is an oppressive place where hard work, high taxes and low pay are the norm. People will continue to lose net worth as Wall Street sobers up to the fact that the good times are over and nothing but economic stagnation and inflation on the horizon. Welcome to Obama's world...Everyone is poor and everyone is dependent on the government.

It’s as if there is something hoovering just past the edge of perception. An feeling like a vibration in your gut that comes and go’s, like reality it’s self has been slightly set akimbo.

Something wicked this way comes.

I’m up and it’s 2 am. I’ve been in a funk ever since election night when my country died. At least the one I’ve grown up in. We will have loads of enjoyable company in the re-education camps cause all of us will be there. Our fate ws sealed several months back when Obama showed how he would turn his back on Israel.

I have noticed that I’ve had more all nighters. I hadn’t done that since my college days. LOL!!! I have to go to work tomorrow so I better at least try to get to sleep.

I couldn’t sleep during the weeks after the election. Then I started listening to audios of Chuck Missler expositing on the book of Jeremiah. Very similar circumstances. The audios are available from www.blueletterbible.org

Alternatively, you could start reading Jeremiah and other books related to the judgment and exile of Israel and Judah.

After several lessons I was able to rest in the secure knowledge that God is in control of history and always has been!

Enough of this gloom and doom FReepers. You are all damn right something bad is coming. We’ve got a pretty good idea of what it is, unless we’ve all failed History 101 covering the last two centuries. A little advice;

BUCK UP!

Do you have kids? Grandkids? Dear FRiends? Burn their images into your brain and do something about it. There are two ways this will play out. One, he bumbles along to the elections and gets slaugtered in 2010, or two he does something drastic and stupid.

I for one hope for option one, but guess what folks, getting rid of this moron is not going to happen on its own. We’ve got to get involved, volunteer to help good candidates, educate our neighbors, show up at town halls. Got the picture? God forbid we might have to actually donate some money too lol!

Option two is not so good. My grandparents survived the great depression while starting out poor, really poor, at the beginning of 1929 before things went bad. I hope I have their genes. My in-laws survived pogroms, concentration camps, Berlin being bombed flat, etc. I hope my kids have their genes. They survived bad things, so can we. The military will have your back if things truly go to hell. You will have to trust me on that one, but they will.

So there’s bad things coming? I have no doubt there are. I think people like us will survive and rise to the top no matter what, whether severe or not so severe, but it may take some time. The “will to survive” was beaten into us in survival training as the most important trait, not strength, not mental toughness, not hollywood heroics. Focusing on what is good in your life, what you want to get back to, and for many their religious faith got men back from far more horrible things than we will hopefully ever face. The folks still repeating the mantra of “hopey/changey” and hoping the government saves them will not. Sleep well FReepers.

I cannot go to slep before 5 or 6am. This started after the election. My wife thinks I am crazy, but now I know that there are a lot others like me.

I am obsessed with news updates (politically speaking) and always wondering what is coming next.

I am, I belive, almost in a state of depression which is causing me not to sleep.!

I can’t sleep but that’s because I’ve been in this hospital bed doing nothing for the better part of two weeks. It’s 3:33am and I want home.

There’s better reasons for sleeplessness than politics.
