Actually her drug problems had a lot to do with it. It’s hard to give somebody a big role when they don’t show up for rehearsals and sometimes even miss taping, then get arrested.
As I remember it, the only reason I would watch that show was to check out Valerie. I always wondered how someone so unattractive as skeletor could be cast in a TV show other than the Adam’s Family. Then I found out her daddy was John Phillips. The only reason the show succeeded was Valerie and the janitor guy. Other than those two is was pretty unmemorable.
