John Edwards Promised to Wed Mistress; Dave Matthews to Play Ceremony
Monday September 21, 2009

John Edwards promised mistress Rielle Hunter that he'd marry her once his wife Elizabeth died of cancer, Edwards' former aide alleges in a shocking new book proposal.
According to a copy obtained by the New York Times, Andrew Young claims Edwards told Hunter that the ceremony would take place on a New York rooftop and feature an appearance by the Dave Matthews Band.

Except for Spyrogyra, I've got all those loaded on my iPod. (And I actually like Spyrogyra, I just don't happen to have any of their CD's.)
My wife hates it, and makes me listen to it out in my shop. She doesn't know what she is missing.
What's your point?
It was wrong then too. What Newt did doesn't change this episode at all.
It must be a liberal thing. My husband’s liberal brother-in-law did sort of the same thing, he made plans to marry a friend of his wife’s after the wife died of multiple myeloma. The woman was at least 25 years younger than he, married and had three kids still in school.
To make matters worse, he invited the woman and her whole family to funeral and back to the house afterward. It was so obvious what was going on that I was tempted to say something to the woman’s husband, but I did not. They actually turned on the tv and watched the Kentucky Derby, while we were there to mourn his wife, my husband’s sister.
I think the happy couple were married last weekend, somewhere near Boston.
Thanks. One of the best things that ever happened to me was being stationed in Germany from '77-81. I lived off-base for over 3 years, which meant no TV for the duration. VCR's were just coming onto the market during my last year.
I'd buy 10-12 albums a month, and mix my own cassettes.
I still listen to Radio Luxembourg on occasion. They have a good playlist of 70's/80's rock that reminds me of the good times I had there.
Earth, Wind, & Fire are worth a mention, of course, as do Tower of Power.
I've got a RAZR-3 phone, and have downloaded about 90 songs. Perhaps I'll get an IPOD one of these years, but I'm pretty happy with what I've got. I've told my two older kids (22 & 20) that they'd be very surprised at the music on their old man's phone.
If I had the money, and he were still alive, I'd hire Warren Zevon to play my birthday party. Dittos for Sam Kinison.
LOL! When my wife and I were dating, Spyrogyra played a concert in El Paso. Due to a ticketing mixup (the venue changed), our seats were in the FRONT ROW. I've been to some really good concerts in my life, but this was the best...at least for me.
She was bored to tears, just as she was for the Little River Band concert...the opening act was Poco!
I made a deal with her...no more mandatory two-somes for concerts. After seeing George Strait and Willie Nelson several times each, I had my fill (even though I like their music).
Dave Matthews, the second largest amount of douche ever bagged.
Right behind John Edwards, the guy who cheats on the mother of his children fighting a terminal cancer.
Pearl Jam sucks too, earl. Wake up!
Dead that priceless
I just have feeling it be you or Monk get first exclusive of Baby Edwards with his loser parents LOL!

Has Liz kicked him to the curb.
What, Liz was his biggest enabler. Don’t feel sorry for Liz.
She knew what was going on. She was an enabler.
Johnny’s chance to have a family in each of the two Americas!
On the other hand, if she killed him, no jury would convict her, and then she’d get everything and get to enjoy it before she dies. But perhaps she gets more enjoyment out of watching him suffer, as his fantasies of never-ending adulation from the public are replaced with the harsh reality that the whole world knows he’s absolute scum and there’s no way he’ll ever have any respect from anyboyd again. Not even from airheaded skanks like Rielle Hunter.
My STARS! That takes the cake! I probably wouldn’t have said anything to the husband, either. Yipes.
Honestly, I think Elizabeth knew what this guy was all about when she married him (same as Hillary Clinton knew what Bill was all about). She wanted the money, the social status, etc, and din’t really care how he’d gotten the money or what he did to climb up the political ladder, or even who he slept with as long he kept it quiet and didn’t produce any extracurricular offspring who would get a share of the money. I think she’s pretty much reaping what she sowed, but at least he is too — it would be horribly unfair if she ended up dying of cancer after putting up with this creep for years, while then some ultra-skanky woman like Rielle, who was eagerly looking forward to Elizabeth’s demise, ended up being the wife of the wealthy, popular Vice President (or God forbid, President).
::sniff::
(wipes tear from eye)
That's so romantic vile and nasty.
I can't think of anything worse than this: May John Edwards live long enough to get back everything he's given to those who have stood by him, and more.
Oh, that is not even the worst of it. The brother-in-law’s mother made the statement at the pre-funeral dinner, that she hopes that John remarries right away, so that he can finally have some children of his own (he and his wife had only one adopted child because the wife had a hysterectomy at 30.
The man has always been a despicable letch. My husband threw him out of our house thirty five years ago and he has never visited us since.
The man is a builder in Nantucket, split his time between Nantucket and Stowe, but has since bought a house outside of Boston. If anyone wants his name, I will gladly share it.
DEFINATELY stirring up trouble for the silk pony by bringing the kid to the cameras. And posing just in case the angle is wrong. Sending a msg to jon boy she’s ready to come out.
