Animals have a sith sense about people.
They KNOW who to be wary of. I believe I read it has to do with the persons scent. I'd bet body language plays into it too.

I reproduced this with my own dog. He hates being sprayed with bug sprays. All you have to do is stand above the person giving the dog treats and show the can and he will cower.

There is something going on behind the scenes that you can’t see - maybe a person standing behind the lady giving the treats with a rolled up newspaper or something.
Funny the first time, but the video goes on way too long - the point was made the first time the dog turned his head away.
I am not a fan of humor using animals by scaring them that they are going to be hit.
