Well if tonight’s win for Miami is any indication, they’re well on their way back to, at the very least, winning conference titles again. May not be as easy as it was in their days in the Big East, but the Canes sure shut down Tech’s run game.
The thing about the run D that is very encouraging is that they made the necessary adjustments after the first drive. They have lacked effective coaching ever since lawrence coker took over, and have had a revolving door of assistants the last couple of years.
It looks like they now have a competent OC and DC, and that is going to make a world of difference, since they have gotten back to recruiting some major talent (something coker failed to do).
If they can go 3-1 after this very tough opening 4 games, they’ll be in good shape. Jacory Harris will be tested by the extremely fine DC at vaTech (cant think of his name, it’s early- Bud something?)
