LUCASVILLE, Ohio — Gov. Ted Strickland ordered a weeklong reprieve for a condemned inmate on Tuesday after the Ohio execution team had problems finding usable veins for the lethal injection process.
Executioners were unable for more than two hours to find veins that would accept fluid from an IV without collapsing for 53-year-old Romell Broom, who was sentenced to die for the rape and slaying of a 14-year-old Tryna Middleton in 1984.

If you think about it, this is worse than if they had found the vein on the first try and commenced with the execution. This dude has to take that long lonely walk to the chair not once now but twice. Think about it.
Considering that the guillotine used in France wasn't invented until the 18th century, it can't be considered "Midieval" (the Middle Ages, for all intents and purposes ended with the rise of national armies in the 30 Year's War, in the early-mid 1600's...)

Incorrect. Here are the facts:
The first documented use of the (Irish) Maiden was in 1307 in Ireland,[2] and there are accounts of similar devices in Italy and Switzerland dating back to the 15th century. Nevertheless, the French developed the machine further and became the first nation to use it as a standard execution method.
And since you are in the correcting business ... tit for tat ... you should watch your p’s and q’s. You misspelled medieval.
